Nigeria has created a department that is suppose to help stop human trafficking and it has been helping. This department from the Nigerian government has helped find 20,000 girls stranded in Mali. The department or agency is called The National Agency for the Prohibition in Trafficking of Persons, NAPTIP for short. Some of the girls were told that they were going to Malaysia to work while others were just kidnapped on their way to or from school. The agency is working with the Nigerian government, the Malaysian authorities and the International Organization of Migration (IOM) to get these girls back home. The article describes that the girls living conditions were "slave like" and it also said that the agency in general did not have an idea of how many other girls may have been sent to other places.

It is sad to see that even with all fo the technology available to us and the world we still cannot stop human trafficking from happening. Whether it be girls or boys it does not matter.
